Flavia Luna Somarriba (FR)

My name is Flavia Luna. I’m an Franco/Spanish Interactive Designer graduate and a master’s student at Interface Cultures, University of Arts Linz. I explore expression through performance, sewing, body painting, and languages. My current focus is interactive art in hospital spaces, a project that is also my master thesis. After presenting it at the 2024 Ars Electronica Festival, I’m continuing its development for this year’s edition.

Ballad of a Frog is an immersive interactive art project designed to enhance hospital patients well-being through therapeutic engagement.
This project re-imagines hospital ceilings as serene, nature-inspired
environments where patients can escape the clinical setting and find peace and relaxation.

By combining gamified interactions with soothing audio-visual elements, Ballad of a Frog aims to alleviate stress and return a sense of tranquility, humanity and control into the patients journey.
