Werkbeschreibung:
Ein Ort, an dem alle glücklich und zufrieden aussehen. Ausgeruht und glücklich. Um an den Strand zu kommen, verlassen die Menschen für eine Weile ihr Land, nehmen Urlaub von der Arbeit, stehen früh auf. Und das alles nur, um zu sitzen, zu schwimmen und zu entspannen. Hier kommen endlich ganze Familien zusammen, hier ist alles so einfach und schön, hier wird viel gelächelt und in der Sonne meditiert. Ist das nicht ein kollektives Glück? Eine Reihe von schnellen Skizzen von Menschen am Strand, die sich ausruhen.
//A place where everyone looks happy and content. Rested and happy. To get to the beach, people leave their countries for a while, take vacations at work, get up early. And all in order to sit, swim and relax. It is where whole families gather at last, where everything is so simple and beautiful, where there are lots of smiles and meditation in the sun. Isn’t that collective happiness?

Artist Statement:
Gulim ist eine Multimedia-Künstlerin und Designerin, die oft analog arbeitet. Ihre Lieblingswerkzeuge sind ein Skizzenbuch, ein schwarzer Liner und Buntstifte oder Ölpastell. Als Künstlerin ist es ihr wichtig, Momente, Erinnerungen an schöne Dinge und komische Situationen festzuhalten, denn sie glaubt, dass am Ende Freundlichkeit und Humor die Welt retten werden.
//Gulim is a multimedia artist and a designer who often works analogue. Her favorite tools are a sketchbook, a black liner and colored pencils or oil pastel.
As an artist it is important for her to capture moments, memories of good things, and comical situations, because she believes in the end, kindness and humor will save the world.
