Δύο χέρια (Two Hands)

An analog animation installation exploring The Four Dimension of Love
Nadzeya Straltschenia (BY)
“Δύо χέρια” is an experimental analog animation visualizing the four Greek dimensions of love (Eros, Philia, Storge, Agape) through the language of touch. Across four synchronized loops, the project explores how human beings connect in distinct ways.
Containing over 600 frames, each one is born from a multi-step analog process: printed video frames are hand-finished with watercolors, pastels, double exposure on transparent paper and text handwritten with a traditional quill and ink.
Nadzeya Straltschenia is a media artist from Minsk, Belarus, currently studying Time-Based and Interactive Media Arts at the University of Arts Linz. With a background in graphic design and fine arts, she focuses on analog animation and frame-by-frame manual processing. Her work explores human emotions and internal metamorphoses, blending traditional materials like paper and watercolor with the moving image to capture visceral personal transformations.
