DOUBLE SPEED HALF TIME

Ellinor Brandenburg (DE)
The element of time defines the form of the experimental short film DOUBLE SPEED HALF TIME. Changes in the speed of the movement sequences and alteration in the shooting speed create an interplay of image and time. The chosen perspectives and working with mirrors create kind of a split screen in space. The combination of movement, time, space and sound can be understood as an experimental approach to the basic elements of the moving image and the interface between photography and film.
Ellinor Brandenburg is as a freelance artist working in the fields of photography, video, film and graphic design. Her strongly concept-based works deal with relationships, emotions, body and identity. Analog media such as Super 8 film, Polaroid and analog photography form the basis for works which are later digitally transformed or edited. Her works are always based on the female gaze, which characterizes the entire creation process, as well as the finished work.
