spininGround

Lisa Puchner (AT)
spininGround is a playful exploration of the A1 highway and the perception of landscape, as well as a declaration of love for movement on the bike. Having fixed a camera to the spokes, a bike tour develops as close as possible alongside the highway. The ambivalence of proximity and inaccessibility, omnipresence and non-place, is reflected in the video installation. While the rotating image shows a hypnotizing landscape, in order to catch a glimpse of an upright ground, one has to pedal oneself.
Lisa Puchner works as an artist, curator, and film production sound mixer in Linz and Vienna. Combining artistic research with playful approaches, she focuses on working with spatial structures and everyday uses, exploring how people integrate into the landscape, interact with the environment, and exist within it on a daily basis. Lisa Puchner is the founder of Golfclub Asphalt, vegetable hairdresser at Salon Schale, and initiator and curator of Feldversuche Art Symposia in Vienna.
