So far, only humans possess the ability of complex crocheting. No machine can produce something comparable. But what about Artificial Intelligence? How justified is our fear that AI could replace humans in all their abilities?

We explored the creative symbiosis of human craftsmanship and Artificial Intelligence by immersing ourselves in the crochet instructions of ChatGPT. The results turn out to be quirky creations, which often have little to do with the prompt.

Rosa Schwarz (*1999 in Mühlviertel) lives, works and studies in Linz.
Recurring elements in her work are language, repetition, her person and other everyday moments. Rosa Schwarz likes to pose questions in her work. Everyday things are taken out of context and illuminated from new angles. Rosa Schwarz has been studying to become a teacher of media design, design: technology, textiles and ethics in Linz since 2019.

Vera Dittenberger, born in 2001, has been studying Media Design and Design & Technology at the University of Arts Linz since 2020. As an artist, she focuses on sustainability and the combination of digital and analogue art, with a particular focus on craftsmanship.

Iris Reisenberger (*1989) lives and studies in Linz and emphasises the connection between digital media and nature in her art. With a degree in Design: Technology.Textile and Media Design at the University of Arts Linz, she uses mushrooms as a central theme to emphasise the importance of engaging with our environment.

Mika Brandhofer (*2002) is studying Media Design and Mathematics in Linz. He combines digital and analogue media, art, technology and mathematics, and deals with identity, queerness and other political issues.
