Symphony of a Koi

Flavia Somarriba Perez-Desoy

This project is meant to help hospital patients feel calm. It features a concrete audiovisual environment with intuitive, game-like interactions, allowing patients to momentarily escape the stress of their situation. These interactions are designed to accommodate the constraints of the hospital setting. Beyond relaxation, the project seeks to restore a sense of self, often diminished in a sterile, clinical environment.

My name is Flavia Somarriba Perez-Desoy.

I am an Interactive Design graduate from Elisava School of Design in Barcelona. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree at Interface Cultures at the University of Arts Linz. I am passionate about the interdisciplinary possibilities that interactive art and design allow. Additionally, I have a passion for languages and various forms of expression, whether through acting, pattern making, or body painting. I am fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Catalan, and I also speak Italian.
