The birdhouse, which is adapted to the height of the room with millimetre precision, is Simon Reitmann’s sculptural exploration of questions of living space distribution, architectural densification, and sustainable urban design. The exaggerated form, at the intersection of sculpture and usable object, plays with common notions of everyday life and living and interrogates the individual meaning of home. In Hochhaus (High-Rise Building), Reitmann humorously exposes absurdity and day­-to­-day life.
