The series Murmur (ﻣﻮرﻣﻮر in Farsi) examines landscapes as a medium for self-reflection. Inspired by regions of Iran and Austria, Armin Alian explores thoughts and feelings during his personal journeys. The act of painting resembles a process of (de)construction – by layering and removing material, Alian explores the meaning of nature in contemporary life and art.
