WET METAMORPHOSES zeigt flüchtige Spuren von Wasser. Ohne den Einsatz einer Kamera werden die Wellen der Donau und der venezianischen Kanäle auf Fotopapier abgedruckt. Sophie Morelli thematisiert damit nicht nur Wasser als ästhetisches Medium, sondern auch als Mitgestalter. Darüber hinaus wird unsere emotionale Verbindung zu fragilen Ökosystemen adressiert. Ihr Projekt lädt dazu ein, Verantwortung für unser ökologisches Zusammenleben zu übernehmen und die symbiotischen Verbindungen des Lebens neu zu betrachten.
WET METAMORPHOSES shows fleeting traces of water. Without the use of a camera, the waves of the Danube and the canals of Venice canals are printed on photographic paper. Sophie Morelli thus deals with water not only as an aesthetic medium, but also as a cocreator, and also addresses our emotional connection to fragile ecosystems. Her project invites us to take responsibility for our ecological coexistence and to reconsider the symbiotic connections of life.
