In Das ist nicht mein Zuhause konfrontiert Michaela Jank die Betrachtenden mit einer malerischen Übersetzung ihrer Innenwelt. Sie vermischt Farbe mit Erinnerung, Traumata mit Lichtblicken zu einer autobiografischen Szenerie, in der das Echo der Natur ihrer Heimat Tirol widerhallt. In Das ist nicht mein Zuhause (This is not my home), Michaela Jank confronts the viewer with a painterly translation of her inner world. She mixes colour with memory, trauma with rays of hope, to create an autobiographical scene in which the echoes of her native Tyrol resound. Birds, worms, and roots exist between the brutality of life, the feeling of not being welcome, and the warm light that, despite everything, penetrates the dark twists and turns of the snail shell.
