Lisa Puchner verwandelt in Horizon Noise historische Postkarten der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek in klangliche Abstraktionen touristischer Ortsansichten. Horizonte – Sinnbild für Sehnsucht und Vorstellung – werden zu Melodien, Leerstellen der sonst natürlichen oder bebauten Landschaft zu Klang. Das Projekt reflektiert den Wandel touristischer Wahrnehmung und fragt nach der Zukunft von Sehnsuchtsorten im Kontext von Klimawandel und Overtourismus.

In Horizon Noise, Lisa Puchner transforms historical postcards from the Austrian National Library into sonic abstractions of tourist views. Horizons – symbols of longing and imagination – become melodies, empty spaces in the otherwise natural or built­up landscape become sound. The project reflects on the changing nature of tourist perception and questions the future of places of longing in the context of climate change and overtourism.
