Tales of Arid’Nu
by Aurelian Ammon (CH), Carlo Natter (CH)
In Tales of Arid'Nu, we explored alternative potentials of machines by working scientifically grounded materials within a fictional space. Starting with theoretical research on biological processes and cybernetics, we developed a practical manifestation of what we call radical embodiment. In this approach, we place an emphasis on material experimentation and evolution as a narrative strategy.
Through narration and imaginary evolutionary processes, we present Tales of Arid'Nu machines embedded within an environment that influences their evolutionary processes. The project aims to reimagine the potential of machines as independently performing agents and to stimulate a new methodology for the design of artificial systems, regarding their use and their interactions with an environment.
