VISUAL COMMUNICATION

There are trillions of microorganisms living on and inside our body. Those are tiny little organisms like fungi, bacteria and viruses that are essential to our health and happiness. Latest microbial research shows that our diet and certain human behaviors have direct consequences on our body’s bacterial communities. Thus, a better understanding for human-microbe interactions could prevent many health issues in the future. The project ‘My Grow Biome’ aims to translate microbial processes into visually perceivable experiences. The shown display enables microorganisms to create individual shapes. The viewer becomes witness of microbial creation in realtime.
