A woman and a microphone, that’s it. For the performance “Vox Absoluta”, Fabíola, who is a vocal researcher for more than 20years, and has performed with numerous bands and ensembles, as well as solo in different alter egos, now presents herself in her most simple yet absolute form: herself and a microphone. No scores, no artefacts, just a voice (VOX) in real-time composition with the limitations of time imposed by the venue and the embodiment of her previous trajectory in interaction with the space.

Portuguese born and Linz/Berlin-based Interdisciplinary artist Fabíola Augusta, merges sculpture and movement in a limitless vocal expression. She moves across the genres of noise, experimental, hard-core, dream core, free jazz, and pop in the improvised and experimental music scene, as a performer, composer, producer and director.
