In her book "Art and Anti-art", Susan Sontag often speaks about dualisms and refuses an "or". We are closely interwoven with everything, even if "something", as in my case "man", is missing. Transformation does not have to mean stripping away everything. Metamorphosis as a process of transformation. The cuisine of Ecuador, the music of Latin America and the slide evenings with family, friends and girlfriends are the content of the video installation. Basis of a medial transformation and at the same time document of a memory of the starting point of my metamorphosis. On the one hand, the work refers to transformation processes of (private) medial practices and at the same time allows a look at analog techniques of the recent past. These draw a picture of a drastic change of mediality within a generation. On the other hand, the video installation shows a medial imprint that evokes specific subjective memories. memories that accompany us in our very personal metamorphosis: seeing, smelling, hearing, tasting - remembering ... moving on ...
