Multichannel sound studios are typically academic infrastructures with limited access due to their complicated technical infrastructure they embed. State-of-the-art audio rendering engines are becoming accessible to the mass public through commercial VR products. Probably VR audio will never be able to substitute the experiential nuances of a concert at a physical space. However, VR is a creative midst for spatial audio experiments. With this gallery of multichannel works we want to evaluate the experience of listening to spatial electroacoustic music when it is embodied in a VR social event at a large scale festival.
