"The Petrified Horde" is an acousmatic composition based on one cello which got overdubbed to form an orchestra or horde of cellos. Through transformation of its musical parameters and spatialization, a story was created that should throw the listener in an infinite sea of timelessness. Michael Hutsteiner is an Austrian composer and sound engineer. He works in the fields of electronic and computer music. He has already worked on various multimedia projects, including Osmodrama Berlin and others. He is currently studying composition at the Anton Bruckner Private University.
