Joystick developed from explorations of textile crafts and the connected topics of gender norms, production conditions in the textile industry, and their emancipatory potential. The interaction with joystick renders a hidden motif visible, creating a moment of surprise of an exposed intimacy, which is also intended to reduce shyness.

The work was created in the context of the project “Fiber Thread Fiction”.
