Φως [fos]

by Alexander Grabner (AT)

Φως [fos] addresses the fact that we are all surrounded by the most modern technology, that is intended to make our lives easier; the essential, the original, might often remain hidden. Φως (gr. shine, light) is an electric generator and alludes to Plato’s allegory of the cave. It shows power and light at the same time and outlines the history of human civilization through the materials and techniques used.

The artwork was created within the project “Analog-Digital: Medium-Message”.

Alexander Grabner is studying for a bachelor’s degree in secondary school teaching: English and Design:Technik.Textil (Technical and Textile Works).
